Roy Allen first sold his root beer at a parade for returning troops of World War I. Allen then teamed up with Frank Wright to form A&W restaurants, giving Allen's root beer a home and a name. Close to one hundred years later, you can still enjoy their original recipe, complete with frothy goodness. A&W is great by itself or mixed with vanilla ice cream for a delicious desert treat.
