Strasser Weinberg means the 'vineyards' in 'Strass', the fruit for this wine is selected from three of Martins most precious vineyards in his village. The old rock in the Gaisberg vineyard, and the old vines in the Wechselberg vineyard lend a beautiful complexity and flavor to this wine that is typical for Riesling. This wine is 100% Riesling. Fermentation occurs partly in steel and partly in large wood barrels. It is typically aged for 6 months, then clarified & filtered once. Annual production is around 3500 bottles. A floral and aromatic nose that is inviting and fresh with a touch of minerality, a medium round body and a bright finish that has the perfect amount of acidity to clean the mouth. Perfect for sweet water fish, mild cheese, and would also be a perfect match for sushi. An entry level Riesling that is pleasing without demanding too much attention. - Natural Wine Co.
