VALUE WINE –L'ODALET CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2016

Languedoc, France, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark and Opaque reds with hints of violet in the glass! Cherries, cranberries, baked rhubarb pie. Touches of Madagascar vanilla and coffee are blanketing in silky textures and softer style tannins. There’s balance yet a sense of subdued elegance! Medium to full bodied with a nice balance of opulence and discipline! Bang for the buck an absolute pleasure to find!

ECO WINE –  TARANTAS SPARKLING ROSE

Valencia, Spain 100% Bobal

The wine is made from 100% Bobal, a very popular grape on Spain that is not as well known here in the U.S. The wine is ruby-garnet in color. On the nose there are aromas of berry and cherry, lemon zest and earth with a lively finely carbonated dry medium to full body. The finish is breezy with soft fine tannins. It is certified organic by the Spanish government. Also of interest is that Bobal has one of the highest measured levels of the antioxidant Resveratrol. Delicious with goat cheese, spicy dishes, or paella.

WHITE WINE – KONO SAUVIGNON BLANC 2017

Marlborough, New Zealand 100% Sauvignon Blanc

A brilliant pale green in the glass, the nose of this wine is bursting with citrus fruits and passion fruit. On the palate, luscious fruit flavors of ripe tropical fruits and an underlying herbaceous note are finely balanced with zesty acidity, an underlying minerality and just a hint of residual sweetness. Juicy and crisp, this wine leads to a long and dry, persistent finish. This wine pairs nicely with any seafood as well as chicken and citrus salads.

RED WINE –A TO Z PINOT NOIR 2015

Oregon 100% Pinot Noir

The generous 2015 vintage delivered rich, dark color to the 2015 A to Z Oregon Pinot Noir. Striking aromas of black cherries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries are overlaid with a cornucopia of spices. As the wine opens, aromas expand to include pipe tobacco, fennel and red currants. The palate initially mirrors the aromatics with complex, pure red and blue fruit flavors. As the wine moves across the palate, ripe, dusty tannins bracketed by juicy acidity give shape and definition to the powerful fruit flavors in harmony with a mineral quality, reminiscent of slate and graphite

NEW WORLD WINE  –THORN CLARKE SHOTFIRE SHIRAZ 2014

Barossa Valley, Australia 100% Shiraz

Owned by the Clark family, one of Barossa’s largest grape growers with over 270 hectares of vineyards. Shotfire is one of their flagship wines. It is dark inky red in color. The aromas are of red and dark berries, smoky toasty oak, licorice, ground brown spices od nutmeg and cinnamon with a touch of vanilla. The wine is full bodied with abundant supportive tannins that gives the palate a savory drying sensation like dark chocolate balancing the sweet berry flavors in the midpalate. Excellent persistence and presence on the finish. Aged in 40% American oak.

OLD WORLD WINE –VENICO & VENICO RONCO DEOL CERO SAUVIGNON BLANC 2017

Colio, Friuli, Italy 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Ronco del Cerò is the hill that originally great grandfather Daniele Venica bought in 1929 and where he first started making sauvignon. Grapes from seven different vineyards are picked by hand and vinified separately. The grapes are cold macerated for 12 hours to bolster texture and aromatics; no wood is used to age Cero, so the natural acidity is intact. This is complex and layered Sauvignon Blanc that has more peach and tropical fruits, not herbaceous or green. Aromatics are brimming from the glass and the pairing of this wine with asian cusine, pesce crudo, or cooked white fish is delicious.
