  1. Brovia Barolo Rocche di Castiglione

    Brovia Barolo Rocche di Castiglione

96+ points Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
"The 2010 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Freshly cut flowers, red berries, spices and mint lift from the glass in a sweet, perfumed Barolo graced with exquisite class and elegance. The tannins are remarkably sweet and polished for a young Barolo. Intensely fragrant notes round out the finish. It will be interesting to watch the 2010 develop over the coming years. Today it is flat-out gorgeous. Brovia fans will note a small name change in the 2010, which reflects the new vineyard designations that go into effect with this vintage." Learn More

  3. Cheval des Andes

    Cheval des Andes

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate! "The 2006 Cheval des Andes was bottled in early 2008 but has not yet been released. The 2006 vintage is superb throughout Mendoza and this wine, as in many other bodegas I visited in April 2008, shows off the extra dimension of complexity made possible in an exceptional year. The wine is composed entirely of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a bit more saturated than the 2005 with a splendid perfume of pain grille, mineral, espresso, black cherry, and black raspberry that leaps from the glass. More opulent and layered than the 2005, it also conceals a bit more structure. The finish seems to go on and on. Drink it from 2015 to 2035. Cheval des Andes is owned by the legendary Saint-Emilion producer, Chateau Cheval Blanc. The wine is sourced from their 50 hectare estate vineyard planted on its own roots in 1929. The first vintage was 1999 and over time the wine has evolved into having a majority of Malbec in the blend. New oak is used for the Cabernet component and one-year-old barrels for the Malbec. Altogether the wine spends 18 months in cask." -Jay Miller (Dec. 2008) Learn More

  4. Chezeaux Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains

Chezeaux Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains

91 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
"The 2011 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Vaucrains is quite a bit silkier and more polished than the Pruliers. Sweet floral notes meld into red stone fruits, iron and wild flowers in a polished Nuits that is going to need a few more years to offer its finest drinking. Distinct ferrous notes linger on the close. " Learn More

  5. Domaine Serene Evenstead Reserve Pinot Noir

Domaine Serene Evenstead Reserve Pinot Noir

Light and elegantly crafted, this iconic release is the textbook example of well-made cool-vintage Oregon Pinot Noir. It's aromatic, floral and sillky. The tangy berry fruit is clean and ripe, though definitely on the lighter side. Pretty berry and cherry flavors are set against tart acids, with just a touch of milk chocolate from barrel aging. 6. Jacquesson Cuvee 735

    Jacquesson Cuvee 735

Apple blossom, fresh, lively sherbet. Med intensity, firmly structured, actually quite austere - not especially generous. Crisp and well-balanced, dry but rather simple, Learn More

  7. Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape TinTot Rouge

Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape TinTot Rouge

96 points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
"The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Tintot (100% Mourvedre) comes close to equaling Manfred Krankl and Philippe Cambie's debut release of Chimere, which is also virtually all Mourvedre. If you can not find Chimere on retailers' shelves, check out the 2010 Le Tintot as there are about 2,000 bottles produced. An amazing expression of fully ripe Mourvedre, it offers up notes of steak tartare, porcini mushrooms, blueberries, blackberries, charcoal and camphor. Incredibly dense and full-bodied with no hard edges (noteworthy for a 100% Mourvedre cuvee), this stunning wine needs 5-6 years of cellaring, and should keep for 40+ years." Learn More

  8. Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge Cuvee du Quet

Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge Cuvee du Quet

94-96+ points, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate
"Even more impressive and a candidate for the wine of the vintage, the 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet (pronounced kay) is a blend of 80% tank-aged Grenache and 20% barrel-aged Mourvedre. A big, massive wine, with decadent roasted herbs, black and red fruits, licorice and scorched earth, this full-bodied, mouth-filling and brilliantly concentrated effort doesn't lack for texture or richness, yet remains fresh and very drinkable. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Drink 2014-2032." Learn More

  9. Pahlmeyer Napa Chardonnay

    Pahlmeyer Napa Chardonnay

95 points Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
"Pahlmeyer's spectacular 2012 Chardonnay offers abundant aromas of hazelnuts, buttered citrus, tropical fruits and honeysuckle intermixed with a touch of tangerine oil. It cuts a full-bodied swath across the palate, and possesses good acidity, exuberant fruit and an undeniably sexy style. Enjoy this terrific All-American, All-Napa Valley Chardonnay over the next 4-5 years. Bravo!" Learn More
